This Quiche is unusual as it doesn’t have a pastry crust, instead, it forms one for itself. The recipe I have is from a friend of my grandma’s living in Australia. I made the impossible quiche for my cousins Michelle and Valerie, This recipe has no meat in it as Michelle is vegetarian. I would suggest putting bacon or chorizo if you want something other than just cheese. we put a little too much butter in the pan with the onions so be careful!
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 64g plain flour
- 60g soft butter
- 355ml milk
- 2 medium diced onions
- 1/2 a teaspoon of French mustard
- 150g mature cheddar cheese (plus a little extra for the top)
- crushed savoury biscuits
Method
blend together the eggs, milk, flour, and butter. Then sauté the onions in a frying pan with a little bit of butter. pour the onions and cheese into the first mixture and then pour all of that into a lightly buttered quiche tin. evenly sprinkle the rest of the cheese and the biscuits over the top and bake in moderate oven for 40 minutes.
Looks and sounds delicious. xx
