My inspiration came from the new recipe book that my mum bought called Hugh’s 3 good things by Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall but we didn’t have all the ingredients so I adapted to the recipe.
I adapted this recipe by adding some olives, goats cheese and instead of the suggested sausages I used salami and fried it up a bit, you could also use bacon. It’s a very simple recipe as the title suggests but is perfect for a very quick, delicious supper. Here is the recipe the way I made it.
INGREDIENTS serves 4
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 packets of salami
300g pasta (it doesn’t matter what type)
1/2 green cabbage
2 rounds of goats cheese (cut)
10 black olives (halved)
Heat oil in a fairly large frying pan. Cut salami and fry in pan. While doing this put some water in a large pan and bring to boil. While waiting for this cut the cabbage into strips, if to large cut in half, and wash in a colander and leave in sink. Now put pasta and salt into the pan with boiled water. look at pasta packet to see the cooking time and add cabbage 3 mins before the end. Now add the salami and goats cheese and dish up. Finally add the olives and sprinkle some cheese over the top
NEVER put a pan lid on boiling water because it will boil over.
Feel free to add anything to any of my recipes.
